Postcards of Mexico City

The capital city of Mexico and its main center, if considered with the Greater Mexico City reaches over 19 million inhabitants, which make it the second largest city in the world. Located in the Valley of Anáhuac, in the center of the country at an altitude of 2,240 meters, it was founded by the Aztecs in the 14th century, then destroyed by the Spaniards in 1521 and rebuilt in the Spanish style. There are many fine places in the Federal District, as the Pyramid of the Sun (336 steps) and the Moon, or the floating gardens of Xochimilco
